Medical Rides & Volunteer Programs
Community of Care volunteers provide practical, neighbor-to-neighbor support that helps older adults remain healthy, connected, and independent in the homes and communities they love. By sharing their time and talents, volunteers significantly expand our capacity to provide services throughout rural Cass County. Services are provided free of charge to older adults in rural Cass County.

Transportation to Medical Appointments
Transportation to medical appointments is the largest part of our Volunteer Program. Trained volunteer drivers provide rides that help older adults get to the healthcare appointments they need. Before providing transportation, volunteers complete background checks and orientation. Clients complete a release of liability form and emergency contact form before their first ride.

To request a ride, please contact us at 701-347-0032 at least one week in advance. Volunteer availability may vary. 

Other Ways Volunteers Help
Volunteers also support older adults and rural communities through activities such as leading Bone Builder classes, commodity delivery, wellness activities, being members of our local Health Cabinets, seasonal projects, and social connection opportunities.

Together, these volunteers help make it possible for older adults to remain active, supported, and connected to their communities.
